Description: California’s coastline is geologically and morphologically complex and each major geologic unit will exhibit differential response to rising sea levels. PWA classified the shoreline based on geologic formations and type, such as sea bluffs and dunes. For each type of coast, slightly different methods were used to project the response to rising seas. Information on the methods can be found in Section 2.3.2 of the report http://www.pacinst.org/reports/sea_level_rise/index.htm
