Service Description: Historical creeks that have since been filled, drained, or significantly altered. Not all historical creeks are shown. Creeks shown have a minimum watershed of 0.2 sq. km. Also, where a modern creek still exists today in approximately its historical position, or where a modern storm drain or engineered channel has replaced the historical creek in approximately its historical position, only the modern feature is shown, except for creeks south of San Bruno where both the historical creek and modern creek may be shown. These digital GIS files represent the same data as the Creek & Watershed Map of Oakland & Berkeley (2010), the Creek & Watershed Map of Hayward & San Leandro (2010), the Creek & Watershed Map of Fremont & Vicinity (1999), the Creek & Watershed Map of Richmond & Vicinity, and a portion of the Creek & Watershed Map of Milpitas & Northern San Jose (2005), each published in 2006 by the Oakland Museum of California.
